Danny England opened the door to his independent dealership in 1975. Over the last 36 years, Danny has grown that graveled lot with an opening inventory of 5 cars into a multi-million dollar sales machine & has become a leader in quality and customer satisfaction in the automotive sales industry.
Before sales goals became a priority, the commitment to quality & customer service stood as the golden rule to operating his business for long term success. Today, that commitment holds true as his dealership remains "Customer Focused" with the likes of a massive and diverse inventory, ultra competitive pricing and an unwavering drive to deliver unmatched buying and ownership experiences of a lifetime.
Danny started his business on the property the dealership currently operates on and has truly defined self-made success by taking care of customers and living a tireless work ethic with a passion from his early childhood days. Danny's father built his first office in 1975. And after rapid growth, Delbert built a permnant showroom in 1981 with office and bay opertations which Danny, Barbara & Daniel operated out of until 2011. In Feburary of 2011, After 5 years of planning, Danny broke ground on their new facility on the same property where it all started - a 4 car showroom with a modern flare that customers are enjoying today.
In 2006, Danny England received the Quality Dealer of the year award from the Tennessee Association of Independent Dealers. He represented the best of the industry on a national stage at the annual NIADA convention in Las Vegas with his family. The association is active in dealer & consumer support. Among other strong standards, the association also implements a strong code of ethics that makes for a positive atmosphere in the automotive marketplace. Danny is always engaged with his community and has served on numberous boards of directors, has been a leader in local charities serving in the capacity of president with New Tazewell Lions Club for over 15 years, serves as current chairman of the New Tazewell United Methodist Church Finance Committee, served a full term as president of the Tennessee Independent Automobiles Dealers Association and a full term as director of the Manheim Nashville Dealer Council which represents automobile manufactures, finance arms and dealers in the wholesale marketplace. Danny is also a very active member in the New Tazewell United Methodist Church. Along with calling the shots in his business every day, Danny enjoys getting to know his customers and their families. Being one of the best "hands-on" dealers in the area, he's always accessible and you can find him anytime in the dealership as his office door is always open.
Danny England has been married 37 years to the love of his life, Barbara. Together, they have two children, Daniel & Brittany.
Daniel, 28 is the 2nd generation to the dealership and serves as the GM along with heading customer service development. Daniel was married to his wife, Jessie in 2008. Jessie is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University and is a medical technologist for Claiborne County Hospital. Daniel grew up in the dealership and sold his first vehicle at the tender age of 10. With all the credit going to his father, his first steps was in Danny England Motors as Danny brought him to work early in life. Daniel & Jessie enjoy boating, water & snow skiing, mountain retreats and flying. Daniel is an avid aviation & automotive enthusiast and is also a private pilot logging over 300 hours a year in the cockpit.
Danny and Barbara's daughter, Brittany Sullivan, 26 resides in Paducah, Ky, with her husband Nicholas. Brittany graduated from Samford University in 2009 with her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. Brittany married in 2009 following graduation and currently works with an independent pharmacy. Her husband Nicholas, also a pharmacist, works for Western Paducah Baptist Hospital. Brittany, much like her brother, enjoys the lake, skiing and traveling. She visits home often as she's still closely rooted to her family.
Danny's wife, Barbara is the heart and soul of the dealership who heads the rental department and is known as the "do-all commander in chief". She joined Danny full time at the dealership in 1995 and the business has broke records year in - year out since the move. Examples of Barbara and Danny's successful teamwork is evident in every aspect of the dealership and their personal lives. Barbara enjoys traveling to the mountains with Danny & her children on weekend retreats.
